Egide Meertens Plus Architects designed a building complex with eight accommodations for a contest tender from the social-housing company Kantonnale Bouwmaatchappij. Because of the location, next to the busy Oosthamsesteenweg, the entry area was planned on one side of the construction. The parapet next to the entry to the underground parking guides residents and visitors from the road to the entrance door.

In view of the costs, only two window sizes were used. The horizontal strips in architectural concrete form a binding element between the accommodations and accentuate the height of the building.
